Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2016 i.e. TNEA 2016 is a well-known engineering test which is conducted for admission to B.Tech/B.E courses at various colleges/institutions across Tamil Nadu state. Anna University is not going to organize any entrance test for admission through TNEA this year, admission will be based on candidates’ performance in class 12th or its equivalent exam according to the norms under TNEA 2016 counselling procedure. TNEA 2016 online registration will be commenced from 15th April, 2016.

TNEA Exam 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for TNEA exam 2016 are as follows:

·         Applicants should be a resident of Tamil Nadu state. If you belong to outside of Tamil Nadu but have done schooling from Tamil Nadu you may apply.

·         Kids of those persons who have been doing job in Tamil Nadu either in private sector or government sector from last five years are eligible to apply.

·        Applicants must have cleared class 12th or equivalent examination along with subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and secured 50% aggregate marks (for general category candidates), 40% (MBC & DNC category candidates), 45% (for backward class including Muslim) and 35% (for SC/ST/SCA category candidates).


TNEA Exam 2016 application form/How to Apply

Interested applicants are eligible to apply for TNEA Exam 2016 through online as well as offline mode. For online mode, candidates can directly get the application form from the official website of Anna University. Otherwise, they can get the application form from declared official centres of Anna University by hand. Applicants are also eligible to get application from by post.

Application Fee

For online mode, the application fee is Rs.500/- for general candidates and Rs.250/- for OBC/SC/ST and other scheduled aspirants. For offline mode, the application fee is Rs. 700/- for general category candidates and Rs. 450/- for OBC/SC/ST and other scheduled aspirants.

10th and 12th class mark sheet.
Transfer Certificate
Community Certificate
Nativity Certificate (If applicable)
12th examination Hall Ticket (In case of pursuing)

TNEA 2016 Exam Pattern

Question paper will contain objective type question from Physics, Math and Chemistry. The total exam duration will be two and half hours. There is no negative marking scheme is specified by concerned authority.
